Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Find out what healthcare education is needed by doing surveys and asking questions.
- Work together with healthcare experts and other people to set goals and make sure the results last a long time.
- Create plans and rules to reach the goals for healthcare education, and check how things are going.
- Make and share things that will help teach people about healthcare, like brochures, posters, videos, and more.
- Organize events, workshops, meetings, and presentations to teach people about healthcare.
- Tell people about healthcare initiatives using the news, social media, and websites.
- Find important partners to help with healthcare education.
- Apply for money to pay for healthcare education programs.
- Keep track of activities, write down information, and manage databases. Also, supervise program staff and volunteers.
- Give staff, community groups, and organizations access to healthcare education resources.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in public health or a related field.
- Preferred certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES).
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare education.
- Lots of experience collecting and analyzing data, and making goals.
- Advanced skills in planning, doing, checking, and evaluating healthcare education programs.
- Can make educational materials and teach people about healthcare.
- Great at making sure healthcare education programs have lasting results.
- Good at finding partners and reaching goals together.
