We are hiring a fitness director to manage our fitness facility. You will handle budgets, buy equipment, and build a strong team of personal trainers. You will make sure trainers are doing a good job with members, like helping them with nutrition and using equipment correctly. You will also train staff regularly.

Successful candidates should be good at making decisions and handling many tasks. They should also be good at motivating others and paying attention to details.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attend and take part in management meetings.
  • Create plans to reach goals.
  • Meet monthly revenue targets.
  • Hire staff and make sure there are enough people working.
  • Train new staff members.
  • Help staff when they need it.
  • Teach personal trainers how to make more money and help members reach their goals.
  • Work with staff to keep the center clean and organized and make sure equipment is working properly.
  • Manage expenses and buy new equipment.
  • Fill in for the manager and personal trainers when they are not working.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree in exercise science, physical education, kinesiology, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a personal trainer.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a fitness center.
  • Certified personal trainer (like ACE or NASM) and CPR/AED certified.
  • Able to make financial projections.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Physically fit and professional appearance and behavior.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
