Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic expatriate administrator to join our team and support the HR manager in charge of international employees. Your responsibilities will include obtaining visas, finding suitable housing for employees, and ensuring a smooth transition to their new country of work.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organizational skills and a solid understanding of labor practices in the countries where employees are placed. The ideal expatriate administrator is a problem solver who pays attention to detail and communicates effectively.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and prepare all salary and HR-related documents for submission to the head of human resources
  • Regularly communicate with expats about their subsidies, housing, and other needs to ensure a comfortable work environment
  • Process expenses and reimbursements for expats
  • Obtain visas for employees and their families and arrange housing in their host countries
  • Liaise with the tax department on behalf of expats to ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors in host countries
  • Orient expats on relocating to a new country, including customs, opening a bank account, and other onboarding processes
  • Plan for expats' arrival and inform staff in the host country of their arrival
  • Provide support to expats as needed
  • Ensure the expat program follows government policies and procedures

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Thorough understanding of corporate and government policies and procedures related to expats
  • Excellent knowledge of laws, customs, and practices in host countries
  • Experience in immigration and international diplomacy
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in one or more languages spoken in host countries is a plus
  • Outstanding problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Adaptable to change and able to act quickly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
