We are looking for a skilled document processor to handle our organization's documenting processes and systems. Your responsibilities will include organizing both physical and electronic files, securely storing documents, and distributing them as needed.
To be successful in this role, you should have knowledge of document classification systems and preferably have previous experience in a similar position. A great document processor is detail-oriented and can be trusted to accurately handle important documents.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming documents, including text and audio-visual files.
- Organize documents based on classification categories.
- File physical and electronic documents.
- Copy, scan, fax, and email documents.
- Store and distribute documents to the intended recipients.
- Safely dispose of duplicate and outdated documents.
- Retrieve and distribute filed documents upon request.
- Order and restock office supplies.
- Maintain and repair office equipment.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Training in office administration or secretarial work is preferred.
- An associate's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience as a document processor or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Media Player, and Outlook Express.
- Extensive experience in organizing, filing, archiving, and distributing documents.
- Familiarity with document classification categories and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including printers, copiers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Capable of securely storing and disposing of documents while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
