Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) when preparing financial statements.
  • Analyze collected data and keep detailed records of the results.
  • Examine changes in goods or services and determine their impact on costs.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing actual production costs to standard costs.
  • Estimate costs for new or proposed products.
  • Provide management with reports that compare factors affecting product prices and profitability.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (required).
  • Accreditation from the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) (required).
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (required).
  • At least 2 years of experience in cost accounting (required).
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles.
