What does a Corporate Controller do?

We are looking for a skilled corporate controller who can effectively manage our financial operations. This role involves planning, streamlining financial processes, and creating budgets and reports.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Developing and monitoring financial policies and procedures to guide decision-making.
- Evaluating and improving financial controls and tax return procedures.
- Analyzing and interpreting financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Conducting internal audits and risk assessments, and implementing intervention strategies.
- Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and reports, and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliation.
- Managing closing processes, billing, invoicing, expenses, reimbursements, and payroll.
- Maximizing returns on excess cash balances and improving closing and reporting cycles.
- Coordinating and maintaining records for investments and fixed assets.
- Supervising financial and accounting staff, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Ensuring compliance with financial management and accounting regulations by documenting processes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- A Master's degree with a focus on corporate financial management is preferred.
- At least five years of experience as a financial administrator or in a similar role.
- Advanced proficiency in financial management and accounting software, such as Idu-Concept and FreshBooks.
- Thorough understanding of accounting standards and industry regulations.
- Extensive experience in corporate finance, auditing, and performance management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
