Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a clerical assistant. Your main responsibilities will include answering and directing phone calls, sorting mail, maintaining filing systems, and typing various forms and documents.

To excel in this role, you should have excellent organizational and administrative skills. A top-notch clerical assistant should also have good communication skills, telephone etiquette, and be proficient in using computers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and make calls on behalf of the company.
  • Sort and distribute mail, send out bills, and arrange package pick-ups.
  • Use office equipment to check emails, send faxes, make copies, and update computer databases.
  • Type forms, correspondence, memos, and other materials.
  • Organize, file, and maintain records for easy access.
  • Keep track of office supplies and order new ones when needed.
  • Complete assigned projects and tasks as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist and train new hires, temporary staff, or part-time students.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an administrative course may be beneficial.
  • At least 1 year of office experience may be preferred.
  • Proficient in using computers, physical and digital filing systems, and typing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and math skills.
