Job Description
We are looking for a Bookkeeper to handle all of our company's day-to-day financial tasks. This includes managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as handling payroll and bank account management and reconciliation. To succeed in this role, you should have previous experience as a Bookkeeper and be familiar with accounting software like Xero or Quickbooks.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Recording daily financial transactions and completing the posting process.
- Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
- Monitoring financial transactions and generating reports.
- Processing accounts receivable and payable.
- Issuing checks.
- Understanding financial ledgers.
- Collaborating with an accountant when needed.
- Managing monthly payroll using accounting software.
Requirements and Qualifications
- An associate's degree in accounting or business administration with a strong understanding of general accounting principles.
- A high school diploma.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping software.
- At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a business-services setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Keen attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Proficiency in accounting software like Xero, Quickbooks, or MYOB.
- Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.
