About This Role

Excellent opportunity for highly motivated individual to assume the role of Senior Manager of International Tax Reporting within the Tax organization. This individual will be responsible for the analysis and review of the international aspects of the global tax provision including non-US subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, and the accounting for the US implications of international operations.

The organization offers opportunity to be part of a growing tax department and manage international tax reporting across the region. Job responsibilities subject to change based upon the needs within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

ASC 740 tax reporting, including quarterly and year-end closings, as well as all requisite analyses, disclosures, and management communications

Provide training to non-US sites on ASC 740 requirements and tax software (Longview)

Analyze provision-to-return computations for non-US sites and ensure properly recorded in accordance with ASC 740

Assist with preparation and communication of annual tax plan and quarterly effective tax rate summaries to management and external auditors

Assist with ASC 740 planning and computations with respect to transactional activity, such as divestitures, acquisitions, etc.

Coordinate ASC 740 review of certain tax computations with external auditors

Support analysis of consolidated income tax accounts and variance explanations

Seek opportunities for ASC 740 process/software process improvements

Ensure compliance with SOX controls/testing requirements relating to tax responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

CPA certification

7+ years of experience with ASC 740 in a large, multi-national, corporate tax or accounting firm environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced tax degree

3-5 years of direct managerial responsibility

Operative understanding of tax cycle from planning through audit

Ability to understand complex tax concepts and apply those concepts to minimize taxes

Ability to direct research and to implement complex tax planning strategies

Working knowledge of all major areas of tax law affecting Carrier

Understanding of the impact of taxes on the financial statements, and ability to combine tax and accounting knowledge to improve business results

Ability to resolve complex technical issues, and recognize the need for and seeks out internal or external subject matter expertise

Basic understanding of tax systems capabilities
