The Las Vegas, NV office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an associate attorney and partner to join its Insurance Coverage Bad Faith Practice. The ideal candidate candidates will have at least seven (7) one (1) plus years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first party property and general liability matters. The candidate will have in Insurance Bad Faith litigation. This area of law enables practitioners at LBBS to develop their civil litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearing, skills while representing sophisticated and well-established national insurance companies. LBBS bad faith insurance defense attorneys rely upon their skills in contract interpretation, statutory interpretation, and analysis of a pre-litigation record in matters involving contract law, tort law, and even statute-based law. When communicating with a client, such attorneys rely on a clear writing voice, but especially so when litigating a client?s cases. Thus, new practitioners joining this practice group will be most successful if they can bring some experience with civil litigation, including: drafting answers, propounding and arguing motions, responding to discovery, motion practice, and deposing witnesses. Strong research and writing skills are required. Admission to the Nevada Bar is required. Our Insurance Coverage Practice focuses on interpreting contracts (perhaps most importantly), superb interpersonal skills. For an attorney with a few years of all kinds and representing insurers in complex coverage claims. Such representation includes monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout the United States. The firm represents primary and excess insurers, reinsurers, third-party administrators, managing general agents, insurance brokers and agents, and independent adjustment companies. Collectively, our attorneys have experience in virtually every line of business. Although we who would prefer that you have some experience in like to explore a field of law where torts, contracts, and statutes intertwine daily, LBBS? insurance law, we are also interested in working with developing talented attorneys who come to us with bad faith practice group can provide such an attorney an excellent skills in any litigation arena.
